Spring Online CPD 2016
A New Year and maybe a resolution to get to grips with technology in your classroom?
To help you and your school effectively deliver Information Communications Technology (ICT) in the classroom, TeachNet is currently enrolling for it’s Spring Course Programme with four online courses. All our courses are designed to help both primary and second-level teachers get the most out of technology in their classrooms, including one designed to focus specifically on tablet computing and mobile learning entitled “Enhancing Literacy and Numeracy with the iPad or Tablet”. TeachNet courses are designed “by teachers, for teachers” using the best interactive e-learning technology and provide practical ideas for using ICT creatively.

Getting Started with ICT
Getting Started – Computer Basics for Teachers – This course is for beginners, learn how to use a computer and the Internet in your classroom
ICT in the Classroom
Getting the Most from your Interactive Whiteboard – re you using your Interactive Whiteboard to its full potential? Easy to use ideas and examples for learning in the classroom.
Literacy and Numeracy
Enhancing Literacy and Numeracy with the iPad or Tablet – Tablets and iPads are becoming more common place in our classrooms. Find out what they can do and get access to some great Apps for literacy and numeracy.
Special Education and ICT
ICT and Special Education Needs – Explore a range of hardware and software options and learn how assistive technologies available to support the education of students with special needs and a range of disabilities.
Delivered online, all four courses can be taken anytime, anywhere between January 11th and May 27th, 2016. Each of our courses cost €89 and provide for approximately 20 hours of study with downloadable course notes and online discussion forums moderated by TeachNet mentors.
