Our Evolving Learning Landscape #cesicon 2020
Online registration is now open for the 2020 annual conference of the Computers in Education Society of Ireland (CESI), which takes place on 29th February in Athlone’s Institute of Technology. The CESI conference has always been a calendar highlight for those interested in digital learning and this year’s programme doesn’t disappoint.
The theme of this year’s conference is “2020: Our Evolving Learning Landscape” and will showcase (As always) the ever evolving practice of Irish educators, and provide an exciting snapshot of how technology has become ubiquitous across the Irish curriculum.
The conference will follow the usual format with both a Friday evening and Saturday event. On Friday February 28th (7pm-9pm) there will be a CESI TeachMeet in the Sheraton Hotel. TeachMeets are informal and feature a number of short presentations and plenty of opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas. The main event takes place on Saturday February 29th, in Athlone Institute of Technology with keynote addresses by Cornelia Connolly, lecturer at the School of Education, National University of Ireland, Galway and Bryan Mathers, Founder of Visual Thinkery. In addition, there will be the usual mix of presentations and workshops, along with a chance to meet with experts and novices alike in the use of educational technology.
