GA Learning wins Youth Entrepreneurship Award for Maths Craze software
GA Learning, developed by Andrew Gannon and Gavin Kenna in Killinarden Community School has recently won the All Ireland Out of School Youth Entrepreneurship Award from the National Foundation Teaching Enterprise (http://nfte.ie/).
GA Learning have designed and developed ‘Maths Craze’, a fun, educational game designed for children aged 8 and upwards. It has a built in editor for teachers to create and edit maths questions for more variety. So far, the software has over 3000 games inbuilt via the ‘Maths Craze Generator’ which allows teachers to create a vast amount of questions depending on certain criteria. When a child is playing, every correct answer results in the child gaining 10 points. The game also allows each child to choose between two non maths related mini-games to play, such as “X’s and O’s” and the classic “Hangman” , after reaching 300 points. The software is inexpensive costing only €6.99 , and can be purchased by contacting G.A. Learning at this firstname.lastname@example.org by visiting their website http://galearning.110mb.com .
