IBM Smarter Planet comes to DCU

clip_image002The IBM Smarter Planet smarter roadshow, a 32 tonne hi-tech truck packed with high power computers, plasma displays and satellite dish communications is coming to DCU on Tuesday March 15th.
The roadshow promotes safer and greener ways forward in technology by introducing new skills, new ways of thinking and new ways of applying technology to solve business and world problems.

IBM will also be giving talks on the following topics:

13:00-13:30: Cloud Computing: Today and Tomorrow by Wayne Leone, IBM EMEA Cloud Lab Services Manager
13:30-14:00: Ethical Hacking and Security by Mark Crosbie, IBM Security Architect
14:00-14:30: IBM Social Software by Claudio Procida, Software Developer in IBM Social Business
14:30-15:00: DB2 LUW: Database Engine Development by Laura McGlinchey, IBM Software Developer

The roadshow will be situated outside the Helix theatre and runs from 11am – 5pm.
