‘Get Snapping!’ from the NCCA
The NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment) is inviting all primary schools to submit digital photos with a suitable caption of the curriculum in action.
The Primary School Curriculum was launched in 1999. It aims to develop the full potential of every child while recognising the uniqueness of each child.
The purpose of the ‘Get Snapping!’ project is to acknowledge and share the work and dedication of schools in guiding and supporting children’s learning with this curriculum over the past ten years.
Teachers, children and parents are encouraged to select photos that capture the ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ learning moments of teaching and learning. These will be displayed regionally in education centres in the autumn and they will also be posted on the NCCA website. Schools are also invited to submit their stories outlining how they have developed children’s learning in a particular subject or area of the curriculum.
