CESI 2018 Conference – Shaping Tomorrow Today

The 2018 annual conference of the Computers in Education Society of Ireland (CESI) will take place on Saturday 3rd March at the St. Patrick’s Campus of Dublin City University. The CESI conference has long been a calendar highlight for those who are interested in integrating technology into their teaching and learning and this year promises to uphold the high standard that has been set by previous CESI events.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Shaping Tomorrow Today” and  the keynote address will be delivered by Elizabeth Oldham and Richard Millwood (Professor in Mathematics and visiting Research Professor respectively, at Trinity College Dublin).

This annual showcase has been central to CESI’s work and advocacy of digital learning since its founding in 1973 and  this year’s conference promises an even larger programme than last year with a greater mix of presentations and hands-on workshops. As always, delegates will have opportunities to engage with fellow educators from all levels of the Irish education system, sharing ideas, best practice and discussing issues.

In addition, the conference will be preceded by the usual TeachMeet (#tmcesi). The TeachMeet) is a relaxed, informal night where educators meet to share ideas that help their practice and have a bit of fun while learning something new. It is a great way to meet and connect with other educators. This year’s conference TeachMeet will take place on Friday 2nd March at the DCU St. Patrick’s Campus, DCU, beginning at 7pm.

Full details on this year’s conference and TeachMeet (including registration) are available on the CESI Conference 2018 homepage.
