BETT 2009 – Check out MirandaNet

clip_image001The BETT Show takes place in London between January 14th and 17th.  BETT is celebrating 25 years of existence this year and is a must visit for anyone who is interested in learning about how ICT is being integrated into teaching, learning and assessment. Many first timers find the show daunting and it is as well to plan your trip by visiting the show website in advance, http://www.bettshow.com/.  Here you will find out about the new products on display this year and you will also have an opportunity to register for the seminar programme which is excellent.  There are many interesting stands to visit but one clip_image002I would like to draw your attention to is MirandaNet.  The MirandaNet Fellowship, which was founded in 1992, is a professional organisation, which strives to use ICT to make life better for learners in schools and communities in twenty five countries. The members are policy makers, researchers, teacher educators, senior managers, community leaders, teachers and company partners who collaborate in practice-based (action) research projects which use ICT in innovative ways in lifelong education.  If at the show drop by to visit them at Stand S97 in the Grand Hall Gallery, http://www.mirandanet.ac.uk/bett/ .  Even if you don’t make it to BETT check out their website and the wonderful resources they have developed.  It is a wonderful professional community of practitioners and one well worth joining.
