In this latest podcast, Michael Hallissy speaks with Robbie O’Leary, Principal of Sacred Heart SNS, Killinarden. Since the nineties Robbie has been at the forefront of ICT integration in Ireland, writing and lecturing extensively on the subject and also developing a range of educational digital content. A long time advocate of the importance of relevant and meaningful digital content for Irish students, Robbie outlines that the curriculum must be the key driver in relation to the types of digital content used in the school. He strongly recommends the use of a children’s word processor and a digital camera at all grades, explains how his school uses a combination of software and online content to enhance Maths teaching and learning, and lists his top 10 software and digital content titles.
